Nice solution not too complicated

Nice lock, works with cellphone. Basically it turns your standard key on the inside of the door but the front of the door looks unchanged and you can continue to use your standard key if needed. You don’t have to change your existing lock or cut your door. Drawback in cold climates the batteries tend to go flat quickly although this hasn’t been a problem for us. You can share access via cellphone, although it did not work with foreign phone. Technophobes don’t do real well with the sharing they ...

Makes life simpler

Being able to walk to your door without fumbling for keys… amazing! Being able to leave your house and not wonder if you locked the door… double amazing!

Easy, secure and the app is user-friendly

This was a White Elephant gift from my Granddaughter’s husband who’s a locksmith. The lock plus installation were well worth the win! I can still use the original lock and keys or lock it with the app.

unsafe and unreliable

Sometimes the locks unlock by themselves when battery is low. Motor will break in less than 2 years at which point you will have to buy a new lock.

Life Saver

Have a 3 and a half story house. Had the lock system installed after I broke my leg. A blessing to be able to remotely open the front door without navigating several flights of stairs.

Best electronic door lock in the market

[Employee of august] I’ve used two generations of the August door locks. I even had the nest door lock. By far August is the best device in this class.

All I wanted was a wireless deadbolt…

[Employee of august] You have a pretty fancy door that’s got multiple pins that go into the door frame and it’s not like a normal door… but around the house, we have battery powered Yale locks that work fine. This door however, needed to look the same, not different so we left the exterior key install this deadbolt, only actuator, loaded the app, connected the bridge, and it’s been flawless ever since….

Works like a charm!

This was a great upgrade to front door security and very easy to install and use. I don’t take my keys anymore unless going to my car. It’s awesome for remote opening to allow contractors or cleaners into my home.

Great alternative for keyless entry

We like this product because we didn’t want a keypad on the outside of our main door. This option is seamless from outside.

Great product , very easy to use

Got this about 2 yrs ago and it’s been great. Would have given it 4.5 stars only because the proximity isn’t always consistent to unlock the door when you walk up to the door from outside.

Very good entrance door lock.

My husband bought and installed it approximately two months ago. This far we are happy with it. Sometimes we get errors after closing or locking the door.

Pretty Decent, but low battery warning...

I have this lock working on my front door, and it's been pretty solid for a number of years. Works fine through the August app, whether using bluetooth, cell, or wi-fi connection. Apple Home is usually unable to see it. Home Assistant works pretty good - about a 1-second delay in responses to commands. Unfortunately, this model predates Apple's Home Key. Installation was easy - if you can work a screwdriver and read, it's straightforward. Only real issue is the low battery notices. We don'...
