Pine Needle Problem?

Needed something to replace the gutter foam I installed about 8 years ago. I live in a pine forest and generally have 8-10 inches of needles sitting on my roof after a windstorm. My roof pitch is such that I don't feel comfortable up there trying to leaf blow them off, so I've been relegated to using a rake from the ladder. I am hoping that this product will allow the needles to blow off and not hang up at the edge of the roof. It seems to handle light drop-offs very well. Time will tell.

These guards are made of stainless steel (no rusting) and have a microgrid to even keep the shingle granules out of the gutter. The grid is strong enough to allow you to brush off any leaves or other debris that do not just flow off without any damage to the microgrid.

This is a very substantial product and should last forever. It was easy to install and keeps even small seeds and shingle grit out of the gutters. All and all I am very happy with the product. I have both 5 and 6 inch gutters. The only thing I would warn you about is if you have 5 inch gutters with a lot of drop you most likely won't be able to use the under shingle method the whole way and will have to screw it to the facia at some point, which you won't have enough screws for. Easy to install; very effective at excluding leaves, pine needles and debris from gutters. Needed to use 8” GRK every 3’ to support gutter because standard gutter mount brackets interfere with this style mesh cover.

I installed 195 feet in one day (entire house). I bought stainless steel self tapping screws to install. The ones provided are zink plated. To cut the gutter guards, I used a 4 1/2' grinder with a cut off wheel. The only advise I have is wait until the shingles warm up in the sun. They can be lifted/pried easily.
