this is my first ever snow blower. after researching different manufacturers, speaking to friends and reading several reviews, I'm glad I decided on buying Ariens. my first storm of the 2021 season was about 2 ft in depth. this 30" deluxe cut right through like with hardly any effort at all. lets hope it continues

Auto Turn has mind of it's own.
I purchased this Ariens #921030 Deluxe 28 to replace a 30 year old Ariens that finally bit the dust. I had high hopes for it after all it is an Ariens. I thought that the new "Auto-Turn" feature sounded like it would be a nice improvement in directional control. I was wrong. I've had nothing but trouble with that feature. It's exhausting to try to go in a straight line which is the majority of any snow-blowing job. Every time the front of the machine contacts an irregularity in...

Dependable and powerfull machine.
Only thing that could use a design change is the defector chute, when you are blowing to the left it sticks out past the edge of the machine and can catch on things, like a mail box post or a drive way marker pole if your to close. The other design flaw is the head light glares in to the operators eyes and is an impairment to your night vision.

Passed The Test Bettet Than I
The 2013 - 2014 winter proved to be one heck of a test for both man and machine. I used my new snowblower almost every day in below zero weather dealing with snow and blowing snow as it was our first winter in the country. The machine performed exceptionally well and never once complained unlike I who complained almost daily. I have no doubt it is anxiously awaiting next winter.

met my expectations for performance
Blew both wet and dry snow well and was easy to handle. Starting process for choke, speed and gas on/off could be clearer (better marked). A double latch for operating levers would be better as my hands got tired holding down the ground drive. Would like an optional skid with wheel and skid ( we have conc, gravel and grass areas we blow.) Seemed to have plenty of power and was geared right for depth of snow and speed needed. More than enough machine for the average needs.

Not going to beat an ariens snow blower
Snow blowing power house. The new auto turn is incredible. Had a 2013 model without it and this makes life so much easier.

Great product
Should have a Led light !!! Its 2020!!./ Also should have wrap around griops to hold it more ergonomically. other than that this machine should last me 25 years like my other(Craftsman 10 hp x 30")

New owner
Used it a couple of times, seems to really handle all types of snow. Our area has received over 12 feet of snow this winter. I upgraded and bought this unit. Works well so far.

Great machine
For most use this machine will work just fine. The auto turn is okay for most conditions. This machine will really throw the snow.It starts very well even without the electric starter.I've had no problem with the shoot plugging up with snow.Traction is good even without chains.I think I'll get chains for when it gets icy as my driveway has some slope to it.The dealer I bought it from didn't put any grease on the axles.I found that out when I noticed rust coming out where the axle clip is.So It's v...

Carburetor
Used 4 times and had to have carburetor work done on it
From Ariens.com
Slightly disappointed
After the 4 use the motor ran as if the choke was on. The choke control had no effect. After taking the cover off I discovered the choke control lever had broken just above the choke butterfly. After researching the only way to replace it was to buy a new carburetor. Well it was snowing and I needed it. Be handy I welded it and repaired it myself. Works fine now. Just thought that it shouldn't have broken that soon

Throws the Snow
The Deluxe 30 snowblower can really throw the snow. It beats my old John Deere snowblower by at least 20-30 feet further. The only complaint is the front end lifts up too easy, so packed snow is a lot more work. But a great snowblower overall!!

Yes but not the cab
Cab design does not work keeps falling down from vibrations from the motor. Cannot tighten clamps any more, I've already bent the tubes.
