The mounting plate had good alignment to the holes in the Architectural Mailbox, but the flange that fits over the 4x4 post was very short...screws can easily break out of the top of the post in very little time. A 3 or 4 inch long Post flange would be much more secure, easier to install, and longer lasting attachment to the post.

The instructions were all screwed up. Perhaps I was supposed to mount this on a metal mailbox but the plastic one I chose would not allow it to be attached as per the instructions. I had to rig another way of attaching making the whole mounting bracket quite useless.
