I bought this for use while camping and charging it with a 20W solar panel. It does work for that use although there is a thermal protection shut down which does not allow it to chatge when the temperature exceeds around 95F. This make it difficult to charge with solar when he weather is warm. If I am careful to keep it on the shade throughout the day, I can usually get it to charge. Indoors the powerbank functions perfectly.

More uses than expected
Initially, I thought I'd use the charger only when traveling. While that is my primary use, I found I use it extensively at home so I'm not tied to a wall outlet and when I need a quicker charge.

Lots of charges, buy your own charging cord
Purchased this for a 7-day vacation in a foreign land. Worked great, charged an iPad mini and iPhone several times over the week, without needing it's own charge up. Once home, plugged it in with the cord that came with it. Checked it after 8 hours of charging, but no change so left it overnight. Next morning, still showed no increase in it's power bank.
