I had never installed this type gutter, the Amerimax vinyl K style. I thought I should probably stick with Amerimax for the gutter guards, so I bought the Lock-in Gutter Guard Galvanized Steel. Well, that was an odeal. These gutter guards DO NOT "fit" in place without modification of each and every piece, modifying with tip snips, time consuming. If you don't mind doing a lot of modification of each gutter guard, then use these. I'm hoping they keep the leaves and "stuff" out of the gutters...

Sturdy, tuck under shingles
Would RecommendHaven't been through a really strong storm yet, but i don't believe it'll be a problem. These tuck up under the roof shingles and lock onto the front, rolled rim of the gutter. Ive tried the cheaper plastic guards and they dont last. Of the gaurds that Lowes carries, these appeared to be sturdy and maintenence free. During the installation, i used sheet metal shears to make the end cuts.

Work well
Installed on the lower level gutters of my home. The installation is easy after you do a couple lengths. I added ties to the cross supports; used copper wire to tie them down. They do fit snuggly, but don't want to reinstall after every wind. I'm very happy with them so far. I suggest buying a good set of tin snips.

Would RecommendVery good paint coating, very strong, good price, stands up to hail better than most others. If it gets dented just flatten with a rubber mallet and reinstall. Easy to install and secure with self tapping screws (not included).
