What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these gutter guards for effectively blocking leaves, pine needles, and debris while allowing water to flow freely. Most highlight the straightforward installation—slipping guards under shingles and snapping onto gutter edges using only tin snips—as ideal for DIYers. The heavy-duty steel mesh construction with powder-coated finish impresses reviewers, who note it outperforms plastic alternatives and blends seamlessly with rooflines. Many report eliminating frequent gutter cleanouts. A few mention challenges with non-standard roof angles or occasional debris over time, but most consider these minor. Overall, customers strongly recommend the product for long-term value and reliability.

Would RecommendThis gutter guard is the best designed and the most affordable for a job like the one I have lined up. It has both 5 inch and 6 inch gutters and this product works with both. BUT...it is a close out item and I was only able to buy 210 feet. I need 480 feet to do the job. So availability is the only negative issue.

Hoover Dam Gutter Guards
Would RecommendOne of the best gutter guards I have seen especially for heavy downpours. You do not need new gutters installed and the are fairly easy to install. We switched out the hangers that were installed with the original gutters (70s) and replaced with the new type today which was the hardest part of the gutter guard install. That and I am 70 years old which didn't make things any easier but was still able to do a fairly descent job installing. The hoover dam guards are one of the most ordered type...

To Be Determined
My experience with the "Hoover Dam" version of the Gutter Shingle is yet to be affirmed or degraded; it's not installed yet. However, the Gutter Shingle I installed on our wooded home 15 years ago worked very well to keep tree droppings from entering the gutters. We NOW live in another home, surrounded by trees that the previous owner did not guard against when installing new gutters; they're clogged. SO... I'm going to install this new version and see what transpires. I'm expecting good results...

Meh
Would Not RecommendInstallation was not too terrible. Trimming angles was not too terrible. I gave it a 3 because they collect twigs and those stupid Maple tree seeds. I have a pitch that 3 roofing angles meet and debris gets stuck in the holes. Then water shoots over the side like Niagra Falls because all the holes are full of crap. I have to get onto the roof and sweep about once every 2 months. Thankfully I have a ranch-style house. Anything more modern and I would look at a different product.

Not goo if you have pine or maple trees.
Would Not RecommendThese gutter covers collect pine needles and maple tree seeds so they have to be scaped off and or they go through the grids and clog the down spouts anyway. Don't waste your money.
The BEST gutter covers
Would RecommendThe gutter covers I've searched for years. Very strong. Wonderfully functional design.

Not as advertised
Would Not RecommendThis is only for 1 it is not a 25 packed like the originally advertised then tried to change it to a 10 pack which is still wrong. Do not be fooled by this like I was.

Much better than the PVC ones
Would RecommendThese held up very well during heavy rain storms this past summer in New England. Heavy rain did not flow over the gutter where the upper roof downspout comes down like it used to with the white plastic PVC version these replaced. Heavy duty. Did not feel the need to screw in place. Just slid under the shingle and clipped to the gutter.
