Wind does shake it enough to give inaccurate rain

Easy to set up, the "learning" mode took the time as advertised. Seems accurate, survived the 12/15/2021 100 mph wind storm too !

Very handy to monitor weather

This is the third AcuRite weather station of this type I've owned. They are very accurate and handy for monitoring the temperature, wind velocity and direction, amount of rainfall, humidity, and several other weather-related factors. What I don't like, and this is really not the fault of AcuRite, is that the plastic outside unit tends to "bake" in the heat and sun over time, becomes brittle, and finally fails. Great while it works

I’ve had two of these units over the past several years. They work great but will eventually fail. The first one the rain gauge went bad. My current one the solar panel has gone bad so I have to change out the batteries every month or it stops sending data to the base station. I’ve looked into similar units that appear more durable but those are 3x plus the cost of these. On average I’ve gotten at least 2 solid years without issues.

I am impressed with the weather center mostly. It does not measure or record the moisture amount of snow. Is there anyway to program for the moisture recorded in snow?

Indoor display doesn't transmit wirelessly

I didn't read the details close enough. This indoor display isn't wireless, just the outdoor part. This means that you can't connect to it using an app or share via weather underground. I was able to order the correct indoor from Acu Rite, but I think you can get to correct combo from Lowes. It is nice that the Acu Rite products are a little mix and match within a sensor class. We can also use the original sensor in a different part of the house for direct viewing.

New Weather Station.

I had a weather Station before for Several years. It worked OK and the Display was Really Nice. The Wind blew my Outside unit down so I ordered another one. I didn't like the PLAIN Display and Wish I could have gotten the New Head to work with the Old Display. I wish now that I had bought the unit I had even though iit was $50 more than this one. I may buy an Upgrade and Give this one to my friend. Easy to install on top of 2 Fence Pipes and some PVC Pipe. with Screws.

Ability to know the feelings like temperature.

It is really nice to know trump, wind, rain rate and feels like temp at a glance. It would be great if they offered a remote app to be able to see on my phone.

We had purchased this weather station several years ago. It finally quit working so we purchased another one just like it. It is great and all of the information that you would ever want to know.
