Would Not RecommendHad it for about 2 weeks started on page one and now I have a fair paper weight until I can return it to lowes
Had to have one
Would RecommendMy son in Texas has this model and I have loved it for years. Every time I go there I say I want this, so this time I wrote down the name and ordered it as soon as I got back home.I love it and all the info it gives me.

Display Needs AC Power
Would Not RecommendI bought this to replace a wall mounted weather station. I did not realize that this unit needs to be plugged in to the AC adapter at all times. The battery is just for backup. Makes it too ugly to wall mount so I'm returning it.
Not Accurate or Durable
Would Not RecommendI've had nothing but problems with this unit since my purchase. The humidity readings are over 10 percent off, it says it's raining when it's sunny, and now the wireless sensor has failed. Junk. To the trash.
Stay Away
Would Not RecommendHad the unit for about 6 months, stopped communicating with the sensor, replace batteries several times, lasts for one day or less, then stops again. Really don't know if it's a battery problem or something else......all I know that paying $50 for a unit that lasts 6 months is not good. Will look for another brand and stay away from this one.
looked good for about 7 weeks
Would Not Recommendworked ok but was a little hard to set up and get a reading at first. after 6 or 7 weeks it just read the same temps everyday never changed. tried new batteries in the sending unit also. im going back to lacross products
Read Issues on Acurite’s Own Support/Community
Would Not RecommendI didn’t do ‘due dilligence’. Read AcuRite’s own Support/Community page and search for ‘battery life’. Got to be #1 issue for the remote sensor. AcuRite’s canned answers - make sure they’re in right, use only brand alkaline batteries, make sure the batteries are not out of date,.., replace your sensor. Bottom line, you best invest in lots of AA batteries as they last a few months, a month, maybe a week? AcuRite was helpful and courteous on the phone, did replace the sensor (2 mo old unit) and n...
Garbage. No range.
Would Not RecommendI got this mainly for inside stats but since it displays outside stats too they should be correct. Right? The only way I can get the base unit to communicate with the sensor is to have them sitting beside each other. As soon as I move the sensor outside the signal is lost. I bought and used brand new batteries from Lowe's so I know that isn't the issue. I have this in my finished basement and the sensor is hanging from a cord under the deck directly outside the basement door. I will add a photo ...
Nice unit. Easy to see with lighted screen
We have three of these and give them as gifts too
Would RecommendOne in the RV, one in the house and one in the garage...
Satisfied.
Would RecommendThe unit looks great. The packing is awesome. Easy to operate. One small issue. Instructions manual was in Spanish. Not understanding Spanish, the unit was still easy to setup. Screen looks great. You can find the English version of the manual at http://pdf.lowes.com/howtoguides/072397020084_how.pdf which was provided by knowledgeable support person at Lowes during an on line chat.
