Acu-rite Station

Am going to be brief, and limit myself to the main issue I have w/ this product. Though it seems to give fairly accurate temp info, the unit has been "forecasting" rain EVERY evening since a day after I put it up! We've had above ave. temps the last week - and absolutely NO indication of rain during this period! This is the second unit I've had with this issue. Am not impressed. Oh, one other thing. great weather station

wal mart sells the same unit for the same price but with my 5% discount using my Lowes CC makes it an easy choice..and with free shipping to my home.. No driving and standing in lines. Unit very easy to install, wish it had a way to recall highest wind recorded in a 24 hour period instead of just 1 hour interval. No problem with display brightness only scrolling ticker could be clearer, little hard to read unless you put on slow.

Very easy to install this station.gives multiple readings, rain,temps,wind speed and direction and much more. I have paid $150.00 for a unit thay gave this kind of readings. Al areas have alarm settings if you want to set them.

We have enjoyed our Weather Station since we set it up. easy set up and reliable information. Only problem we have had is turning the backlight off and on, the switch is a touch switch and we have problems touching either in the right spot or maybe hard or soft enough.

Very easy to install and set up. Need a mast and mounting equipment to set up above the area to receive the best info.

Excellent Weather Station for Home

This station is a replacement for one I bought last year. Same model and same great tool. I learned that the station stops working after you manage to drop the display unit on a hardwood floor from about 4ft. Before my attack of stupidity, the unit worked perfectly, hence the replacement. I have used this model at my home and on several field projects with excellent results. I have recommended it to several people, and they feel the same about theirs.

Mid Range Weather Station

We like to keep track of the weather. Now we can see the wind direction and speed and humidity. Very helpful, especially when the temperatures do not change a lot! Wish I had known about the model that can download data to your PC - that would make this even better!

Really Easy to Set Up

While I just installed it a couple of days ago, I felt compelled to write. This was the easiest set up I've seen for a fairly advanced weather station. Everything worked as advertised and the instructions were very easy to follow. So far, so good.

Acu-Rite Professional Weather Center

Nice design, easy to install and set up. Display is clear and easy to read and navigate. Good transmission range. Mounted about 9 feet high on a sturdy pole. Has only been installed about a week and very satisfied so far.

Acu-Rite 01515 Digital Weather Station

I looked at a number of digital weather stations on the internet and found many that I like, but some were very pricy and didn't give any more information then the Acu-Rite 01515. The fact that this weather station was all in one unit and didn't require putting the temperature sensor in a shaded area sounded like the way to go. Good info but bad illumination.

Display does not light up as well as others we have had in the past. This is our third Acurite weather center in 3 years (first 2 was a different model). We enjoy the informative information this unit provides just wish we could see it better. We wanted to hang on wall but could not see display, now it is on a table.

2nd time around...

I bought my first Accurite Weather Station almost exactly two years ago. I wrote a review then, stating I'd buy it again! Well, I just did...I did not plan to but the cups on the wind gauge all broke off in a sustained wind of 40 mph. That annoyed me but I figured it's been two years, what do I expect for $100.00? Then I considered that even if Accurite folks replaced the wind gauge, the rest of the unit had two years constant weather exposure so what would go next? I liked it enough that I brok...

Weather watchers

This weather station pretty well does it all for the home weather watcher. At first it seemed a little confusing but after I figured it out and my wife figured it out it is quite simple to operate and read. I would recommend. Lowes has the cheapest price That I could find.

Humidity indicator doesn"t work after a few months

My son-in-law and I both received this weather station for Christmas last year. In both cases, the humidity indicator has quit working. It reads 99% all the time. Changing batteries did not help. Also, the display contrast is poor, you have to be looking at it at just the right angle to read the displayed info. Other than the noted problems, the station has been accurate and I have enjoyed using it.

Easy to set up and use

This is a great weather station. It is easy enough to set up and read without having to have a PhD instruction reading.
