We had purchased this weather station several years ago. It finally quit working so we purchased another one just like it. It is great and all of the information that you would ever want to know.

Reliable Weather Station

The AcuRite Digital Weather Station Wireless with Outdoor Sensor is an excellent go to source for getting weather readings at home. I've use the AcuRite for several years. I check the weather every morning before my daily walk. I would recommend the AcuRite Digital Weather Station with Wireless Outdoor Sensor to family and friends without hesitation.

Good product

My granddaughter needed a sicense project. I suggested weather. We got when weather station. Pur it up and she started a spread sheet on temps, humidity, wind speed, direction and barometric pressure. Now gives weather locally better then they do on TV.

REPLACEMENT FOR ACTING UP 5 YEAR OLD MODEL.

IF A PERSON WERE TO MOUNT THE UNIT SOMEWHERE SO YOU DID NOT HAVE TO CLIMB ON A SNOWY/ ICY ROOF TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES, WOULD BE NICE. OUR OLD UNIT WAS VERY HANDY TO CHECK THE WEATHER. LATELY THE TEMP. WAS OFF SO A LOT OF INFORMATION WAS COMPROMISED. WE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE SO DID REPLACE IT. SEE ABOVE. EVEN THE GOOD RECOMMENDED BATTERIES DO NOT SEEM TO LAST LONG IN OUR COLD MICHIGAN CLIMATE.

Temp sensor

i bought this to remotely measure the temperature in an outside enclosed, partially heated, utility shed where pipe freezing is a risk. It is a cheaper and better solution than buying a thermocouple or other device.

Good for about a year

I've had two and my buddy has the same and they last about a year. Wind speed sensor goes and after the year, the company does not back up their product. Researching even more it's made in China so go figure.

They seem to last only 3 years.

The outside temp sensor always fails. There is a replacement available for $12.00 , but they charge $8.00 for shipping. That is a ripoff in my book!!!

Everything they said it was

I first saw this in a catalog for $179 but Lowe’s has it for $100. It works very well and does everything I needed. I bought a 10 ft 3/4 in steel pipe to mount the sensor on in the back yard well away from anything that could contaminate the readings. Very happy with this purchase.

Quit after 4 days

This is a replacement of an older unit that failed after 5 years or so. Temp and dew point were no longer accurate due to the internal fan or solar panel going bad. Got the new one set up, outside/inside temp and humidity spot on same. Set the outside unit up in the old location and things work ok for a few days. Had our first rainfall and nothing registered. Easy install and fast setup. Seems to be working good!!!

Just purchased a replacement unit. The first one lasted through three hurricanes and a bunch of tropical storms in the eight years it was up.. The readings pretty much matched the weather service. Their station is about six miles away. It couldn’t handle a well hit baseball. The old display works with the new unit so now I have a display in the workshop as well as the house. Very satisfied I do recommend this station.

Worked for short while

Got this piece of junk for Christmas and by July it quit working. Went through the trouble shooting and replaced the batteries, but to no avail. Worked fine for about 6 months. A friend had one but his quit working about the same time period.
