poor quality

Dropped it one time from normal height, battery cover & end of radio broke off. Now its held together by good old duct tape, not to good!!!! Reception poor, volume weak!!!!!!!!!!! Would not buy again!! Looking for better replacement! IT IS ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!

Not Comfortable

I did not get past an initial test of fitting this protector on my head. My ears, head, and jaws are too sensitive for such intense pressure on them. My ears would not fit into the pad recess without bending them (ears). The were way too tight on my head so as to feel like a vise. When I tried putting on my eye glasses, I could barely get them on under the tight pads, and when I did my glasses no longer touched my nose, but stayed straight out, being held tightly against my temples. Good hearing protection with a below average radio

I purchased this headset to replace a $15 pair that did not have good radio reception for my quality time on the riding lawn mower. This $60 set has slightly better radio reception. The volume is very weak, so much so I can barely hear the radio when on the mower. To say the least, I am disappointed in this product's performance. The headset does have excellent sound blocking and the quality is high for the construction of the parts.

i am one ofthosepeople who reads all reviews on everything i buy but never review. i had to write a review on these headphones as they are great. some people like to critize about everything. iam just gladto be i above ground. these earphones have ample volume (i am hard of hearing and i had to turn the volume down. the reception is good as i uses them for pressure washing and it makes thetime go faster and i hear good music versus the sound of the compressor. buy them=lowes will take them back ...

Good hearing protection, poor radio

I bought these for using my riding mower, gas trimmer, leaf blower etc. As hearing protection goes they're pretty good, fit snugly and I can wear them for a couple of hours without discomfort. The radio doesn't go very loud but it doesn't need to because external sounds are so reduced. Sound quality is poor - there's no bass at all but worst thing is the FM selectivity - a more powerful station will bleed over from as much as 0.3 or 0.4 MHz away. Lousy reception, mediocre sound and wimpy build

I was excited when my family gave me a Work Tunes unit as a birthday gift. However, reception was extremely poor unless you're "right next door" to the transmitter. In an area with 20+ radio stations, my Work Tunes received three - and those were static-ridden and faded in and out. And because the earcups are covered with stiff shiny plastic, you're guaranteed to have sweat running out of your ears in anything but freezing weather. Battery life is so-so ... I think. Excellent Idea

My husband always wears ear protection while mowing the lawn, so I thought what a great idea to use these instead. This way he can listen to some music while he is mowing lawn. They work great and are very comfortable. The price is a bit higher than I would like, but you definitely get what you paid for. Excellent gift for the person who has everything.

OK for the $39.95 price

Hearing Protector with stereo radio is just OK for the the $39.95. I checked other reviews and they were correct. Low sound quality. Everything else was good.

son loves them

I have a special needs son that helps out at a firehouse but hates the loud noices that sometimes occur with sirens and the apparatus. The head phones are great for noice reduction whether or not you have the radio on. The quality of the sound of the radio is very good.

A must have!

This works very well. It drowns out the machinery noise but lets me listen to music without being distorted. A must have if you operate loud machinery.

Good product for working outside...

Overall I am a fan of the product. I can get some work done while listening to a sports game of music. It does a nice job of limiting surrounding noise. My only issue would be the size is quite large... but other than that would recommend purchasing... bought on black friday by the way.

Great tool for yardwork.

I wear these for all my outside yard work. Great for muting mower and other yard machines. The only problem I have with them is that the tuner controls are too close together. I would like to be able to change the preset stations without having to feel around for the right button. Some stations like to run several commercials between songs, so I like to change stations often. I think that it would be a better design to put the preset button on the opposite side as the other controls.

Attn Landscapers / Construction

If you work outside and want the day to go by fast, buy these; they are the best around for the price, and they will hold up to pretty much whatever you throw at them. Use them in the rain; no problem! hot summer, no problem! winter shoveling, no problem! They fit good, stay on your head, and give you a radio.
