Great purchase for me, but not perfect.

I've had these hold up nicely for two years now, and I wear them year-round for lawn-mowing, leaf-blowing, and snow-throwing. They've really changed the vibe of those tasks for me. While the hearing protection provides the necessary safety buffer from the drone of the motors, the radio makes these jobs much more enjoyable. Worth the dollar and protection

I have own this item for about 3 years now... It works well with an Ipod and you can clearly hear all audio under any loud sounds you are protecting your ears from. I use them for mowing the lawn on my rider to planing wood for two hours plus on an industrial type planer. I have bought these protectors for people as a gift and will continue to. This product is made by 3M and I recently had an issue with the battery compartment cover. They sent me a placement part free of charge plus a spare one!...

worst tuner ever used

these hearing protectors fit verry good (cozzy) the tuner part of the radio is one of the worst i have used,cant keep a station turn your head or mouve slightly and the station is gone ,

Very good purchase

I bought this product for my husband. He has a lot to mow in our yard and really wanted to have something to listen to other than the silence from plain ear plugs. At first he said they didn't give enough sound, but then he said, the reason they don't blare music in your ears is because they are for "EAR PROTECTION". He can still hear the music, its just not pounding his ear drums. He really likes the headphones and so does my 3 year old. Glad we made this purchase.

Complete waste of money!

I will be returning this product. It only receives the strongest of stations and even then you get static whenever you move around. The sound quality for the radio is poor at best and its even worse when you hook up an MP3 player. It does well at blocking noise, however there are cheaper solutions for that.

Great for what I needed

Overall this product works great... only flaw is picking up stations and the tuning... by .5 so it takes a while to manually tune something. Antenna needs some upgrading doesn't pick up distance very well. Bought it to use for general hearing protection and for my metal detector... works excellent for both.

Horrible!

I bought these and they are horrible. I can only get two stations clearly. Theyre basically only good for keeping out noise and you can get ear plugs a lot cheaper. Very disappointed with this product!

Not what you would expect from 3M

I bought these thinking that they were good because of the 3M name. After a little over a year the display broke, soon after that the right ear piece shorted out, it had to be completely rewired. # months ago, a year after the right side earpiece failed, the left side has shorted out. the wiring in to small a gage, they are not shock proof, this is not something that I would expect 3M to put out as a quality item.

A well functioning product that is badly made.

They work fine but the durability is pathetic. I have gone through three of them in the last three years. I will be trying another brand.

No More Dial.

I purchased these to replace the pair that I've had for 10 yrs. that just died. These headphones are the same AO Safety as my old ones except these have the digital tuner. So while they maybe hot and the reception may not be great, not having to fiddle with a tuning knob is a big plus and you can preset up to 5 stations. Hope they last as long as my old pair.

will do if you cant find anything better

I have used these for my mowing business for three years and have been pleased . Reception is ok on they few most powerful channels. I usually only listen to one and it comes in well . Hearing protection is good. The batteries will last for several months use at 3-4 hours a day 2-3 days a week. They are hot in hot weather. Just damaged mine through my own falt. I am going to look for something better but will probably go back to these. I think they are way over priced.
