Would Not RecommendSome of our main bathroom wall is cracked severely from a vanity install a contractor did in the master bathroom sharing the same wall. Knowing our house was built in 1960 immediately concerned me for the safety of our children and their potential exposure to lead paint. The previous owner we bought the house from insisted there was no lead paint in the house as that was one of the selling points. And he even showed us an old brochure which did list no lead paint as a selling point for the house...

Maybe stale contents - no reaction to test card
Would Not RecommendI crushed the tube, shook and squeezed as directed. The fluid was clear - not yellow. No reaction on my china plate, but then no reaction to the test card. I used a second tube, fluid was clear -not yellow. No reaction to test card AND a very faint reaction to being rubbed on a lead pencil. I believe this kit was stale - even though the brochure says they have an 'indefinite shelf life'.

The vessel that houses the liquid is awful
Would Not RecommendThe liquid will change the lead pink, but the actual housing of the liquid is awful. Squeezing it to active the liquid basically breaks the whole thing apart. There must be better tests.
