It serves an initial intent, but it lifts with everything it comes in contact with. Too pricey for its performance. Marginal use.

Left glue residue on carpet. Very hard to remove

We placed the plastic on a hallway and stairway carpet during an upstairs bath remodel. When trying to remove, it stuck to the carpet and was pulled away in small pieces instead of a sheet. Glue residue was noticeable on the carpet and cleaning did nothing to remove it. Months later the residue has trapped any dirt or dark fibers from socks glue. awesome to protect carpeted stairs during a move

I purchased this product to protect my carpeted stairs (brand new off white carpeted stairs) when moving into my new home. Between the movers and I having to go up and down the stairs multiple time, I worried about what damage would be done tp the brand new off white carpeted stairs and bedroom floors. Inside-out

This was by far the most infuriating carpet shield I’ve used. The adhesive was on the outside of the roll unlike ones I used in the past, which only made using it uncomfortable and sloppy every time the roll stuck to my hands or anything it touched. Speaking of which, the roll itself is stickier than the plastic, so if you overlap a spot, the first layer sticks to the roll better than the second one does. Overall, a very poor design choice putting the adhesive on the outside of the roll.

Sticky left on carpet and had to replace 😢

It’s not videos and thought this would be a good idea; however, it left a sticky residue. Even after cleaning x3, I had to replace brand new carpet!!!! Don’t do it!!!

Replace cover to keep it clean

Difficult to use on stairs but does the job to protect the carpet from dirt and debris.

I've been using this for years so when the original one ran out, I just bought the same brand. It does the job of covering and protecting the carpet.

Do not use for wood floors - at all!

For carpets this will likely do exactly what it says it should. It was a bit difficult to lay without a dispenser. But I do not plan on using it often enough to warrant one. That being said it was a two person job or one person if you are on hands and knees. Contrary To what some reviews have said, DO NOT USE ON HARDWOOD FLOORS. This will pull up the finish. Luckily, my wood floors are natural and I am able to use wood refinisher/polish spray to "repair" the areas where the film lifted the stain...

Good for some uses, Bad for others.........

I've used this stuff for various different projects. it sticks well to Most materials, and works best on Dark carpet, materials that don't show dirt. There is truth to the claim that this leaves residue. The longer it is left in place, the more residue it will leave. NOT good on light carpets left on a long time (more than a week) because the residue it leaves will attact dirt right on the top where you will see it.
