Easy to Apply-Polyurethane Topcoat Still Tacky
Would Not RecommendI bought this stain in Golden Oak for a project I am working on. The stain is more like a gel stain, applies very easily, but mutes the grain since it is not transparent. It does not penetrate into the wood grain. I let the stain dry for four hours as recommended and then applied a coat of Minwax Wipe on Polyurethane to the wood. After drying overnight, the polyurethane is still soft. Never had this problem before with Minwax's traditional stains. Not sure I will buy this stain again......

Would Not RecommendLots of positive reviews look like they are from promotions. The base Minwax wood stain product is generally very good, but other reviews speaking of the tinted, nonstandard colors have the same problem I have. This is essentially a paint.
