Easy to apply
First time using oil-based semi-transparent stain and it was easy to apply with a 4" brush. I only needed about a gallon to cover the length of my horizontal fence. I opted for the bark mulch stain. My fence is redwood (6yrs old), but my fence gate is cedar (a month old). The color was pretty uniform for 2 different wood speciesl. NOT tinted!
Would Not RecommendI ordered 2 sample sized cans of deck stain online to test colors. Neither can was tinted & was told by customer service rep that I couldn't do a return by mail & I'd have to return to a store for refund/replacement. Not only was the product in this can not tinted, but the lid was rusty on the outside & the inside of the lid was colored from previous use.

Beautiful stain.
Would RecommendIt finished beautifully after the second coat. You can still see grain of the wood but the color is there which is beautiful with the pure white vinyl railing and kickplate of the stairs.
