Do yourself a favor and don't use inside. Extremely strong odor. Great looking coverage though

Don't Get White

I purchased this product for use on kitchen cabinets that I made. I was very disappointed to observe how drastically the color faded in a location where there is no direct sunlight hitting the paint. After only two months, the color is totally different. It is more like the color of egg nog, compared to the original, bright white that was similar to the color of my white appliances. Worst product by Valspar

I bought this to paint our exterior wood screen doors. Was told to put linseed oil first then this product. Did not dry for three days. Was the most runniest paint I have ever used. It is peeling off in layers. Not sure what we did wrong, but all 4 screen doors are ruined. Would not recommend.

1880s Rowboat Restoration

We are restoring an 1880s rowboat for a museum and also build and restore small boats. We have used several brand of marine paint and they all offer good qualities, but Valspar Ultra 4000 Interior/Exterior Alkyd Satin was the best fit for this project. The paint has qualities that will season and protect the wood, and it covers beautifully. It will also be easy for museum staff to maintain and touch up once the boat is put back on display.

Great Paint Ultra 4000

wife likes fresh paint; hence, I kept this can from the builder after moving. In this stuff works well and shines and is hard as rock. Of course, do yourself a favor and buy a really good brush and a can of mineral spirits. I painted a bathroom with white ultra 4000 and applied to wanes cote it turn out beautiful

Excellent Enamel

Bought this to repaint windows and trim inside. Dries hard as glass. Very scrubable. Buy the best brush for this paint. Flows beautifully. I don't know why anybody uses water-based latex paints. They don't last. With proper prep this will last another 20 years inside!

Our painter will only use this product for the job

I am extremely happy with the quality of this paint. The folks in your paint department were very courteous and explained everything clearly. Our painter loves your Valspar paints and I am sold on them as well. Keep up the great work.

Terrible

The paint is very thin and drips, smells bad, & does not clean up with soap and water. If you happen to get it on your hand, you can feel how tacky it is.

This paint for a DYI project

I was somewhat disappointed with this product for only one reason; dry time. i knew that the product had a high VOC and long dry time when I bought it. However, 36hrs to be tac free is rediculous.

Goes on easy, not as odorous as many other oil based paints.

Good Value, Easy to Apply, Beautiful Finish

I was looking for Eggshell Finish White Enamel when I ran across the Valspar Ultra. I have used Valspar previously with great results so thought it would be an excellent choice for the walk-in country pantry I built. Should be banned for indoor use

Although this paint spreads and looks great, the odor it produces indoors can be very dangerous. We employed a professional painter to paint the trim and the wall above the shower and wainscoting in our bathroom and he initially refused the job because of the odor. Only after we agreed to provide ventilating fans did he take the job. We were hoping that the odor would dissipate in a few days, however, it has been over two weeks now and we still have to use the ventilation fan to remove the smell...

I was surprised!

This is the first time we have used Valspar Hi Gloss enamel paint. We have always used Benjamin Moore brand. We like the look of Hi Gloss Oil Enamel on our wood trim, doors and closet shelves.We used the paint to do some closet and pantry shelving as we are moving. Color wise the white color we chose for the closets and pantry looked good with the white there already. The paint went on smoothly and leveled well and cleanup with Turpentine went well. this is it

this paint is hidden amongst its latex brethren, totally different product. first it doesn't clean up with warm water, no. it flattens out before your eyes. i used it to paint the exterior of an older rv, it is impervious. 25% more than its 4000 Latex brothers and worth every penny.

cant finnish im in trouble on my project!!!!

when i bought my first gal to start and see if i liked tint no one told me it wasnt going to be stocked anylonger .i came back then bought remaining 2 gal's at the savannah tn store they told me they didnt forsee any more, then i went to corinth ms store bought there last gal i need three more to finnish what do i do? hard to recomend to a friend if you cant get it !!!!!!! PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!!!!!!

Rock hard

I have used this paint on all of the trim and cabinetry in my house. I chose the gloss white. It is sandable when dry but it takes a full 48 hours to reach that point. My kitchen cabinets look like an automotive finish and I can clean them with cleaning sprays and a scotch brite without worry about scratches. I love this stuff.
