Can this be used as a foundation for a load-bearing retaining wall, in addition to using it between the blocks? How many bags for 55 cinder blocks?


Type S Mortar should only be used as a mortar between brick and block or as a parge coating material only. An 8" x 8" x 16" block will take approximately 5/80lbs. bags of mortar when using approximately 1/2" mortar joint.
