Will Concrete Bonding Adhesive help if the surface is not "properly prepared" & not crumbly? Is "properly prepared surface" just clean & not crumbly?


We do not recommend using QUIKRETE Premium Concrete Bonding Adhesive (No. 9902) in conjunction with QUIKRETE Polymer Modified Structural Repair, since it already contains polymers to improve the bond with structurally sound concrete. For best results for repairs, it is important for the existing concrete to be sound, clean, unsealed/uncoated, and free of dirt, dust, loose debris, and any other potential bond breakers. When making repairs, getting a good color match will be difficult. We recommend trialing the repair material in an inconspicuous area and waiting a minimum of 24 hours to ensure the appearance is acceptable before proceeding with the project.
