QUIKRETE® Quick Setting Cement should not be used for slab work. We recommend using one QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix (No. 1101), QUIKRETE® Crack Resistant Concrete Mix (No. 1006-80), or QUIKRETE® 5000 Concrete Mix (No. 1007) for slab work. Each 80-pound bag of QUIRKETE® Concrete Mix yields approximately 0.60 cubic feet. For an area of 12’ x 12’ by 4” thick, you will need 48 cubic feet of concrete or 80 bags, of 80-pounds each. If you are using common lumber 2x4”s for your forms, the actual height is 3.5”. In this case, you will only need 70 bags. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.
