how many bags of this would i need?
4
One per hole
Was this Answer Helpful ?4x4 posts should be sunk at least 24 inches. 1/2 to 1 bag per hole and back-fill will hold them forever. Of course a lot depends on what you are using the posts for. If it's a fence of any kind, make sure you sink them AT LEAST 2'.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Not sure if this helps but I used two 50# bags of fast setting mix for each fence post going down about 2 feet.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Is ten to twelve inches below the frost line in Tennessee? I would take the posts down below the frost line, and then it would depend on the diameter of the hole, For my fence which I dug to 36 inches, it took about half a bag per hole.
