Just leveled porch with quikrete Masonry cement type N @ 12 hrs ago. Can I spray water over surface and trial to work out cracks that have formed?

Masonry cement is intended to be used only blended with mason sand for use as a masonry mortar, or plaster sand to be used as a base coat stucco. QUIKRETE® Acrylic Concrete Cure & Seal – Satin Finish (No. 8730) will not resolve the cracking issue. You may consider removing the cementitious layer, i.e. with a pressure washer, then topping with QUIKRETE® Sand/Topping Mix (No.1103), in conjunction with QUIKRETE® Concrete Acrylic Fortifier (No.8610) replacing half of the required water content. The minimum thickness of the QUIKRETE® Sand/Topping Mix (No.1103) should be no less than one half inch. For additional recommendations for your project please contact the QUIKRETE® Technical Center directly at 1-800-282-5828.
