Does this stand up to the sun (UV rating).


Yes, PVC is great for exterior use. PVC requires no painting for protection. However, to maintain color consistency for many years it may be recommended. PVC can be painted with 100% acrylic latex paint to achieve custom colors. (Scuff sanding will optimize paint adhesion, but is not required. A second coat may be needed to achieve desired color.) 100% acrylic paint with a light reflective value of 55 units or higher is recommended. If a darker color is desired (LRV 54 or lower), use only vinyl safe paints containing reflective pigments designed to reduce excessive heat gain (e.g. Sherwin Williams VinylSafe).
