I have to hold the power button down on the washer for about 30-40 seconds and do a system reset every time I start a new load. Is this normal?


Hello! For model MTW6205RW to start the washer please touch and hold the start button. There should be a countdown the washer to start. Usually 3 seconds. You should not have to hold the start button for 30-40 seconds as this would reset the washer. If you are still having concerns, we would recommend contacting Maytag® at 800-344-1274.
