The butcherblock had a few imperfections, likely from handling at Lowes. I did not notice until I stained them unfortunately. Luckily many of them were where i put the sink. They look beautiful in my kitchen, we will see how they hold up.

Damaged/Split Upon Delivery
After reading the reviews on these, I decided to take a chance on one after ordering several others from the orange competitor that arrived damaged. First time ordering an allen + roth product, but it arrived damaged all the same. Not only is the butcher block split on both sides, there are gouges and physical damage to both faces. Uneven Color
One piece would not get as dark as the other when applying the oil for the finish. It had very light pieces of wood that would not take any color. One piece turned out beautifully, the other was very disappointing.
