This was everything I expected. The base is well constructed and was easy to install. As a DIYer, the product made the transition from tub to shower a much easier process.

Not a solid surface material
We purchased this base after reviewing the description advertising it as a "solid surface". IT IS NOT. We had also purchased a small teak bench to go into the shower, and either the rubber feet or the bench itself leached oils which penetrated the base and has PERMANENTLY STAINED the material! Tried contacting the manufacturer for advice, and their 1 sentence reply was to use vinegar and baking soda. DID NOT WORK. We've used Barkeepers Friend, Oxiclean, Vinegar and baking soda and beach.
