This stove on the face of it looked like any other Whirlpool glasstop range I've had. As others have said, seems to show the heat marks on the glass top quickly and I keep up with it, but still happens. Bottom drawer flimsier than most. This was a builder placed appliance in the home when I bought it and I just went to clean the oven, and there is NO self-cleaning mode. I have never had another stove that has not had this feature, even in an apartment. What the heck? The only instructions ar...

Bakers worst nightmare
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was included in the purchase of our new home. It serves its purpose but there are more cons than pros. The surface top is nice aesthetically but after a few uses, no matter how careful you can be cooking, you start getting cooking marks where the pots or skillets would be. I’ve tried just about every cleaning solution to remove them but I’m afraid they are permanent. The oven itself is a bakers worst nightmare. My wife is an avid baker and...

Do Not Buy If You Have Kids
We bought a house less than 3 months ago that came with this range. It looks beautiful. The burners heat very unevenly: the front left rapidly boils on the lowest setting and the front right takes ten minutes to warm up, but then works as it should. The oven door heats up so bad that our 18 month old and 3 year old barely touched it and both got burned. We (the parents) have to make sure not to let our legs graze the door, when we are cooking, otherwise we get burned, but the oven handle sta...

Crowded cooktop, annoying controls--not impressed
This range is an okay performer, but it has some serious cons. We've had ours a little over 4 years and are eager to replace it in our upcoming kitchen remodel. Pros: -It's pretty easy to keep the top clean; -Self cleaning mode for oven works well; -The two big burners put out plenty of heat and seem to heat up pretty quickly; -The oven is a consistent performer. Cons: -The layout of the burners makes this essentially a two-burner cooktop. When I use the two large burners in front a...

The most disappointing stove ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm extremely unhappy with this purchase. After less than one month, my stovetop looked like someone started a fire on it and it is the worst surface I have ever used for cooking. It looks like the glass stove top lining is separating and I doubt it'll last long enough for me to save up to replace it. We don't use harsh chemicals to clean and bought brand new glass top safe pots and pans when we redid the kitchen just for this stove! While the ...

Top Scars Easily, Small Drawer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range two weeks ago; the first flat top range I have owned (always had the coil burners). Despite reading all the instructions, precautions and warnings, the top clouded up the very first time I cooked. Nothing touches the top of the stove and I do not use it as a countertop, yet it became scarred/clouded and uncleanable immediately. I have probably used this burner maybe 8 times and this is how it looks (see pic). The stora...

Dangerous
Only year and a half old and the glass top shattered while boiling eggs. Heard a loud pop sound and initially thought it was an egg in the pot. No. It was the burner area cracking. Nothing in the over and only the one burner on med_high to boil water. I've seen other reviews about dangerous shattering of glass. There is a new model so I can't even find replacement parts for a less than 2 year old stove and no warranty on the cook top. Dangerous- stay away from this brand at least.

HORRIBLE!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a house built and this range came with it. The clock display did not work until you turned a burner on. Once turned on, you can use all the functions on the display. But, once you turn the burner off, it quits working and goes blank. Also, while the burner is on, the heating element does not get hot. After a day of this, all it did was trip the breaker. Called Whirlpool and scheduled a service tech to come out 3 weeks later, which was th...

Iffy door construction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the product in Oct. Appeared to be well packaged and there was no indication of any "rough" handling during storage thru transportation (not a scratch on the carton). Opened the front of the carton and removed some of the packaging.... and the door glass fell out into my hand (luckily)! Again, no "visible" damage to the door, but upon further inspection it was discovered that the bottom "lip" of the door that holds the outer glass in ...

Some instructions ambiguous re oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very chincy bottom oven drawer. Had hard time getting oven drawer on track. Installers did not install correctly. Scratches on bottom of oven drawer when installers ripped off blue tape. Also nicked my wall. Wasn’t able to upload pictures. My previous range lasted over 25 years and was wonderful. Don’t make things like they used to!
