Whirlpool Smart Capable 7.4-cu ft Vented Electric Dryer with Steam Cycle ( White )

Do Not Buy - Terrible Quality

Had an old Whirlpool washer dryer set that never failed us, so we went with them again when we upgraded. This dryer, along with the matching washer, are complete junk. Didn’t make it a month before things started failing. Just relieved that we opted to purchase the Lowe’s protection policy, otherwise we would have been left with giant paperweights. Whirlpool customer service is a joke. The dryer doesn’t dry your clothes completely. Have had the fan go out and a constant issue with the moisture s...

Do not buy

I have had this dryer for 6 months, and 2 months in we would get a random F3E1 code. 3 weeks ago, it stopped drying with heat but will with air mode. Called lowes and although I purchased the 3 year warranty, I have to claim it through whirlpool. Whirlpool has been very little help. The representatives have no desire to help you. They will not let you speak to a manager. The technician they contract is Morris Appliance repair. He came out a week ago, verified the issue we had diagnosed and sa...

Directions would be great

It did not come with an instruction guide so we have been searching the internet for them. It has a sensor so it detects when IT THINKS your clothes are dry. Many times, they are not. So I have started using the timed setting. A rather expensive purchase to have to only use the lowest functions.

Works great

I am very satisfied with this dryer. Gets clothes dry and they don’t come out all wrinkled. I love the way the door opens with the lint filter in the door. With its sleek design, it is a very nice looking dryer.

Damaged products

The dryer came with slight dent and the plastic was chipped

Static reduction for the win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of different settings to dry your clothes perfectly every time, the static reduction is my favorite part!

Wish it worked

I would love to give this dryer five stars however it only made it seven days before the whole control board went out. Had to wait a week for someone to come out to look at it only to be told. I’m gonna wait at least another week to two weeks to get parts in the fix it and that’s a common issue. Return policies 48 hours which is an absolute joke. Wish I could drop this off on their doorstep and walk away from it.

Good; but not quite as good as we were expecting

My wife and I purchased this dyer model about six weeks ago; and, having used it for a while, I thought it was relevant now to review it. Overall, we are satisfied with the dryer, buy only just. When we bought it, we knew we didn't have a water connection for the steam dry thing, but that was okay. We have kept all the equipment to hook it up because we're moving in the not-too-distant future. The lint screen which runs along the inside at the front of the dryer is okay - not great. It's nowher...

So disappointed

it was very easy to buy this dryer. the salesman was very helpful; but on the very first load we got an error message to check the vent and the filter. we bought a new vent we blew out any lent that could have been in the wall and still got the message to check the vent and the filter. we called Lowe's and they were absolutely no help they just said to call whirlpool. we had even bought the extended warranty . I'm so disappointed in their service.
