Well worth the price
Very convenient. It's great for camping. It's also nice to have for power outages. It can run a very long time with the large Toro batteries. There is a noisy little fan that kicks on for items that require a larger amount of power though.
Works fine but has noisy fan
It does what it’s supposed to do. I was able to charge my iPad and my cell phone with no problem. Was also able to run my aerogarden during a blackout that lasted 10 hours. Using a 8Ah battery. The fan is a bit loud but I guess it has to go on to keep the unit cold.
Immediate failure
Plugged in a fully charged battery. Turned the unit on. So far so good. LED came on. Plugged in a small appliance, saw a small spark at the outlet and unit immediately turned off and never turned back on. I believe that the inverter circuit is not protected for inrush current at the outlet. As a EE who used to design battery powered tool circuits for Stanley Black and Decker. I can tell you this is an amateur engineer design error. Toro didn’t do an decent FMEA an this product. I could fi...
Disappointed
Have had this product since it launched I ordered as soon as it became available. With the hopes of being able to use it as a good battery backup solution. I'm disappointed, the fan in the inverter is too loud and turns on with even the smallest load. The type c port is only 30 watts, they say it'll support ~300watts running, I've only seen 250 before overload protection. I'm sure toro puts out more than 300 watts with their tools so I'm not sure why they couldn't have designed an inverter to do...

Handy To Have Around
Our phones are our life lines these days, so when the power goes out, it's nice to have this inverter around. Powers a lamp I have and charges my phone. Definitely handy to have around when you own Toro power tools.

Toro inverter 60v 51860t
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to power a few lights in a power outage short term until I can hook up the generator to our transfer switch. I tried it out and it works great. Note to potential buyers this is not a pure sine wave inverter, but very handy to have around. I have several toro 60v pieces of equipment the recycler, the single stage snow blower, and this years addition the two stage 24 inch snow blower. So I have 4 of these batteries and it’s nice to ...
