What Customers Are Saying
The mower has a powerful engine and convenient features like personal pace drive and blade stop. Customers praise its great performance, lightweight design, and easy maneuverability. However, many report reliability and durability issues, including difficulty starting, carburetor problems, broken parts, and engine cutting out. Some had to get the mower repaired multiple times within the first year. There are also complaints about lack of adjustability in the handle height and rubber bumpers. The reviews suggest inconsistent reliability and longevity of the mower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this lawn mower less that 2 years ago and it stopped cutting grass even with the blade spinning. Took it to an authorized dealer and it took them almost 2 weeks to diagnose the problem. They tried to order a new belt but the belt is on backorder and the company has not provided a date it will ship. So my mower sits at the repair shop while I have to pay to have my lawn mowed. I have had Toro products since I was a kid. They were alw...

new mower failure
Bought in Feb but dealer did not deliver until April. After about 3 hours of use the shaft holding the blade failed. Dealer slow in getting parts and waiting for warranty work to be completed.

Stalling out when using the spin stop feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower seems to be lacking in power. When i use the spin stop and then reingage the blade, the motor really dropps in power to the point I think the engine is going to stop running. If you are cutting in thick grass, it will stop running.

Good Mower with a Few Missing Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower to replace my 15 year old Toro Super Bagger mower. The Toro Super Recycler performs like I expect a Toro to run. The missing features are: 1 - I wish the handle height offered more adjustments. The rubber bumpers can only be adjusted to 2 positions. It would have been better if there were at least 4 positions available for both taller and shorter users; 2 - my old Toro Super Bagger mower has a feature that allows you to st...

Great when it works
I bought this 2 seasons ago and have had the same issue both years. Because of the way the self pace system is designed there is no way to avoid grass getting pulled into it causing a seizure and burning through the belt. After it happened last year I was careful to remove all clippings from it after use but it didn't matter. Either get ready to put a new belt on it every season or find something else. I hate to say this because when it works it is an absolutely phenomenal mower.

It’s a nice cut quality. BUT….
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second super recycler. My last one was 18 years old. Still ran great with absolutely zero service other than plugs blades oil changes and air filters. Now to the new mower. The cut quality of the new vortex machine is superb. The vibration handle is definitely an upgrade. What I dislike about this mower. It burns so much oil. I literally have to top it off every mow. The oil isn't smoking out of the engine but it’s low every ti...

Toro Super Recycler Lawn Mower Purchase
Purchase could not have been easier. Researched the mower, ordered it on line from Lowe’s and had it delivered to the store. Status updates were provided at every step of the delivery. Pickup was simple and fast after it arrived from the warehouse. Great job by everyone.

Good mower that could be great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of the machine. I have two issues that I am irritated with. I have had to replace the rear wheel bolt as it sheared off, and the reason I think it happened, is that in order to release tension from the forward movement, the Personal Pace bar has to be pulled ALL the way back, and push the mower forward, only then does it move freely backwards. The second frustration, is the Blue-handle quick-re...

It’s broke times in less than a year. Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this last year to do occasional mowing when my big mower is too large. I wanted the blade clutch as my last mower got taken out by a pipe and I hoped the clutch would provide some degree of protection. It has decent power, decent cut, decent weight…but it’s absolutely, wholly unreliable and it all comes down to plastic. It literally broke right out of the box. The plastic cable holders keep breaking and when this happens, you cant pull...

Worst piece of equipment I've ever purchased.
I bought this mower in February 2024. I have had it to the shop four times for carburetor problems and the kill switch wires have broken off on both ends. The previous Toro mowers I've owned were all great. This one is junk.
