Horrible design

Would Not Recommend

Over the past 4 years of owning this I have spent more time fixing it than I have using it. I am on the Swisher parts site at least 4 times every summer. Starters, solenoids, belts, pulleys, I have replaced almost everything at least once. 4-5 belts a year. I only have 3 acres to mow as well.

44" mower works fine. One criticism, why doesn't Lowe's carry the 74" belt which needs replacing every so often?

Would Recommend

I've had this mower for a year cutting our 5 acre pasture about 10 times without any issues. The one concern I have is gaining access to the blades, and the Swisher owner manual does not offer any suggestions. With the mower weighing over 250 pounds this will be a challenge.
