Using it as a desk top with a keyboard and mouse on the table. Table began accumulating some dust and dirt from the mouse. When I cleaned it with a soft, damp cloth, the table just started to disintegrate, shedding tiny pieces like an eraser. The portions of the table that I wiped down have never been the same again. This is just getting worse and worse as I continue to use the table. Would not recommend.

Well i had it shipped to store as i assumed that would lead to it arriving without any of the usual culprits (Fedex, UPS,etc) damage. Unfortunately that was not the case. Glad i opened it up in the store because there was a big ol' divot right in the middle the size of a quarter and a half inch deep. At least it made the return easy. Could definitely use a bit more packaging to ensure the finished surface is undamaged. Hard to recommend when even Lowe's internal shipping messes up like this...

Arrived in two pieces, replacement also damaged
The first butcher block I received was split cleanly down its length into two pieces. A replacement was sent to me that arrived with a crack going down the length on both sides and around the edge. Clearly there's some QC issues or delivery mishandling going on. I'll be sending the replacement back and getting a butcher block from somewhere else.

Damaged in multiple places
Despite reading reviews that mentioned damage to the wood I decided to chance it and buy one. The wood itself would look great for a desk however there are two large dents in the middle of the top and a chipped corner. I chose to have it shipped to the store to avoid this, and it still happened. I had to borrow a friend's large car to get it home. This is disappointing.
