I have been using Turf Builder for a couple of years. Our lawn really looks good especially when you compare to everyone around us. We had a section near the street replanted a couple of years ago after a crew put new sidewalks in for the city & they used conventional "Contractor's Seed." Works but don't expect results in one season

Lawn was hurting when I moved in. Used Scotts triple-action every year plus summer & winter guard fairly reliably. Compare pic of my yard vs neighbor that didn't apply anything last few seasons. Mine looks good. Hers is a dandelion farm. Perhaps folks expect lush lawn after one application but it takes a couple seasons on the Scotts 'cycle.' be patient, follow directions, and use 4x a year

I see some poor reviews on here and I think I know why. People think they are going to put this down and in 24 hours have the perfect lawn and no weeds. It will not kill them all in the first application. It will need multiple applications spread out over time. If You lawn is 50% weeds like I see in some of these pictures reviews you may just want to kill it all and start over round up and then reseed in the fall. Would not reccommend

I have been using Scott's fertilizers for over 35 years and had good success with them. This fertilizer left brown spots and made just a couple of weeds turn brown. I followed the instructions and was disappointed in the results. I would not purchase again.

In store CS suffers.

Bag was sealed but obviously not to correct level. I used my AccuGreen spreader (correctly calibrated). Bag says will cover 4,000 sq’. It covered less than half that area. Took bag to store of purchase. First CS comment was well we can’t help you because the bag is empty. Well, “Duh”. Asked for manager but no one available. It will take me awhile to regain my loyalty to Lowe’s.

Have used this product AS DIRECTED for several years with widely varying results. Usually works great preventing crabgrass (5 stars), usually works FAIRLY well as a fertilizer (3 stars) fails PITIFULLY as a weed feeder, I mean "killer" (MINUS-2 stars on the same scale of 1 to 5) for an overall average of 2 stars. It's working so far

I decided to use this for the first time because last year my lawn had a lot of dandelions and whatever grass breeds the white flowers. I live in NJ so it was hard to determine when would be the best time considering how erratic the weather can be. It worked really well on both. There are spots around my edging that has dandelions but I believe that is only because the spreader didn't reach. I would recommend using your hand to spread around the border of edging.
