Metamorphosa is a shrubby Japanese maple noted for the neat texture and ever-changing color of its vibrant foliage. In spring, leaves emerge yellow until a pink margin soon develops that shifts to white with shades of reddish-orange in summer. In autumn, the entire leaf transforms to orange-red and eventually red-violet.
