Generally speaking, I think Off is a great and consistent brand in the constant battle against insects! and perhaps it's just that I have a super strong breed of mosquitoes in my backyard, but I have tried many things to sit outside on my patio in the spring and summer, without much luck. Misleading advertising and unhelpful product

However, the product listing clearly stated both in the images and description that this product would help reduce the presence of mosquitoes. Cute dished mosquito repellent candle

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Overall, this candle is a good quality and burns for a while. As far as the cost of it with the quality, I don't know that I would buy it again however when it comes to repelling the mosquitoes, I don't think it worked as good as a zapper, however it still did its part by helping to keep away the mosquitoes. I love the dish that they put it in the black with the gold compliments anything well and it also has a pleasant smell.

Leaky Wax

The candle has a strong citronella scent. One complaint I have is the tin that the candle is in. There is gapping between the area where the sides meet, leading to wax leakage. Great for open back yards

The smell can be a little strong at first so we typically put them below the table near our feet our around the perimeter of our gathering. But honestly I would rather smell citronella than be eaten alive! These 3 wicks are nice for a wider space like backyards may be a little strong for an apartment patio or closed in area.

Not perfect but better than other citronella candles

Citronella candles in general are only moderately effective against mosquitoes. But the OFF brand candle is one of the better candles, especially when you consider the price. Each bucket lasts ages, you can keep one lit for days, more typical use (4-8 hours on weekends) could last a whole season. The smell is much less offensive than other brands, the scent fades into the background.
