Doesn't even meet any codes. Basically a useless staircase and if you want to meet code they sell you separate pieces that are an additional $2000 with shipping. PATHETIC.

Don't waste your money

I had hoped to replace my crumbling wooden deck stairs with a space saving spiral that would be immune to the carpenter ants that destroyed the old stairs. Instead, my deck rebuild project ended with no stairs at all. The first problem I noticed with this kit is that the platform is very thin, a little over 2" from top to bottom. The subtle difference between 1 and 5 star rating

I would have given this a 5 star rating BUT the manufacturer, Mylen, sent a warped platform which totally threw a monkey wrench in the whole installation process. Having done a cursory inspection of the materials upon arrival it looked fine. Bad quality. This belongs to a warehouse where the look is not that important. Also, Aluminun hand rail is super complicated to install and it does not end on a good share.

Expensive Hard To Assemble Reject Stair Parts

The price was twice what I expected in my opinion. The price however was cheaper than ordering directly from the manufacturers website and I got a military discount. The parts they gave seemed to be quality control reject parts that they used to sell to Lowes. Many of the galvanized parts were discolored (see pic of steps) and seemed to be rejects, too thin of zinc coating or too thick on the poles where it needed a sledge hammer and WD40 to slide the stairs onto the main pole.
