Worst washer ever!

I've used Kenmore washers forever but decided to give Maytag when I built a custom home and wanted new appliances. Huge mistake! This washer has been nothing but trouble from the start. The water level does not even come to the bottom of the tub in the Whites, Heavy Duty, and Normal cycles. The "agitator" starts swishing around the dry clothes in the bottom of the tub. Worst Washer Ever

The washer twists clothing into knots. Clothing is incredibly wrinkled, even after adding softener to the wash and drying with softener sheets. The clothes are deteriorating faster while using this washer than any other washer we've owned. I'll never buy this brand again.

DO NOT BUY

I bought this back in June of 2025. I regret getting a new washer to match the dryer I had to replace since the old one died on me. This washer doesn’t fill about the clothing line. It will fill half way leaving the other half of the clothing exposed and not properly wash the top half. Good Washer With Annoying Features

This washer has a large drum and will hold lots of clothes or big bulky items like comforters, and it works pretty well once you deal with two things: 1) The washer will require you to run an “Affresh Cleaning Cycle” every 30 washes or so. This wouldn’t be so bad except it notifies you know after you’ve already loaded the washer and added detergent. Great features, just really tall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer was delivered to my home 2 weeks ago, and so far so good. It's far nicer than my old one. The only issue I have with it is it's height - I'm 5'6", and I have to stand on my tip toes to be able to reach the clothes at the bottom of the washer. I'm actually considering purchasing a step stool because it's difficult to reach the clothes all the way at the bottom.

At 4 years we have had to get this serviced 3 different times for 3 different reasons. And it’s going to keep messing up once our warranty is out and then we will have to replace it from our own money. So disappointing.

Worst washing machine I have ever owned

I have owned this appliance for over a year and I have never hated anything I owned as much as I hate this machine. I previously owned a front loading machine and I loved it. Going to my first top loading machine in which the water doesn't fill up all the way is massively disappointing. My clothing often does not come out clean. Nice features and works great.

Works great and has a very easy and intuitive control panel. Clothes are very clean when done. We are very pleased with our new washer and we recommend Maytag for it's dependability and longevity. When our dryer dies, we will get a Maytag to replace it also.
