The mantel itself is great.
The mantel itself is great. The color, durability, and quality is exactly what we were looking for. The mounting assembly was not secure enough for what we needed, so we had to get a more durable solution done separately. Otelher than that, great product.

Way overpriced for what we
Way overpriced for what we got. Wood was sooooo textured and is not conducive to dusting at all. So rough. Doesn't look anything like the photos on line. I get that wood is a natural product and not every one is going to look the same but they did not even TRY to select nice pieces. A huge knot (hole on the top) and anothe even bigger know on the face. Extremely disappointed. We could have done a much better job just buying some wood and building it ourselves for a lot less money and we are not ...

Needed Work
Wood appeared to be in fairly good condition but staining was not great and bare in many spots. Added some stain and polyurethane and now looks much better for an outdoor fireplace. Would not consider for indoor use. In addition, mounting bracket is only 36" for a 60" mantel. Would have expected something at least 48-60".
