How to protect horizontal trim
I am a contractor, and we install a lot of smart panel exteriors. I have it on my cottage. It looks great, But there is one great durability challenge with the trim. The front face is high density, and stands up well, but the sides of the trim are less dense, and even porous in places. This leads to water penetration from the top down on horizontal trim over doors or over the layer of smart panel from 1st to 2nd floor. Premium wood trim
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We rebuilt/ resided a 35 year old shed that has seen much better days. This trim was pre-primed and since it was manufactured lumber, the boards were straight making our finish work easy. Our finished product turned out great.
