Installation
I was hesitant to buy the Halo select, as I thought it would be a nightmare to install. With the Halo app, I just followed the video on my phone and was done installing in less than 1/2 hour. The Halo select was exactly what I was looking for.

Easy set up,not draining batteries unlike others
I like the look and solid metal feel of the lock. Not a plastic body like others. Nice front glass like panel that lights up bright. I also like you can set a date range for the guests access codes. My recommendation is to turnoff all notices to phone to help same battery life. I think it might help.

Battery Hog
Although the features of this lock are compelling, unless you like to feed it 4 AA batteries every month or so, I'd pass. At roughly $1 a piece, it costs about $40 per year just to have the option of using it electronically (maybe). There is no advance warning - I used the app to check the door status and SURPRISE! the batteries were critically low and the lock wouldn't do anything.
