Never Buying Kitchenaid Again
We paid four-figures for our KitchenAid dishwasher with the theory that we were getting better quality and longer life. It developed a leak after 18 months, 6 months past the end of the meager 1 year warranty. The cost of repair is half the cost of the unit, about the price of an average dish washer. Cleans good and very quiet
Purchased Feb of 2022. After 4 years of use, which it has been working great, I noticed several spots on the wire racks that are rusted and making the coating peel off. I went with kitchenaid hoping the quality would be superior to other brands. The operation of the dishwasher is great but never expected the racks to start rusting already.

Problem with door finish
We put this dishwasher in our new house and have been happy with how the dishwasher works. However, after the protective plastic coating was removed, a streaked residue was left. I've tried several non-abrasive products to remove it like alcohol, vinegar, and Goo Gone. None have worked! Help!

Leaks and leaves cloudy film
Cleaning was somewhat OK, but quickly discovered our dishes started showing a film on them after we started using the new dishwasher (had it looked at and no one could find a problem). Then 6 months after manufacturer warranty expired we discovered the dishwasher had started leaking causing our wood floors to warp. The dishwasher only lasted about 2 years before we had to have it replaced.
