What Customers Are Saying
The product offers convenient instant hot water, but has inconsistent quality and reliability. Many customers find it useful for various tasks, praising the feel and functionality when working properly. However, a significant number report issues like leaks, malfunctioning parts, and short lifespan, often requiring replacement just outside the warranty period. The installation process is also challenging for some. Overall, the potential benefits should be weighed against the risk of recurring problems and replacement costs.

We had to hire a plumber to do the install, as the area below the sinks were very full of other installations. It took him awhile of moving things and making adjustments, but he was able to finally do it. We had the hot and cold dispenser installed, and it has worked just fine so far. We are very happy with it.

works good
The 2 I have had in the past were good. One only lasted three years. The old one I had got used until it quit. Both of those were quit when heating. This one is quite loud when heating.

Once it's finally installed it makes nearly hot enough water
Installing this is a bear. I'm pretty handy and it still took me four trips to the hardware store to get the right fittings and connectors. The design decision to have copper tubing as the supply tube instead of a braided hose is presumably cheap and keeps the price down, but makes it deeply awkward to connect, and it's entirely possible you could kink the tube in the process. There are no connectors in the box to connect to your under-sink pipes; you're entirely on your own. The first unit I...

Excellent Product for a Water Dispenser
Good quality, product that provides the needs for both the Hot and Cold Filtered water needs. Quality feel to the handles and the lever action, confident that the product will last.

Too Short.
We have to hold a cup in the sink to fill it with water. The spigot needs to be 4-6 inches higher.

Love the product when it works
This was a replacement unit, the first died within three years. I our case the dispenser handle stopped working. When it works, you can't beat the convenience.

Plumber installed
This unit replaces an insinkerator Evolution Spacesaver which was installed in July of 2008. That unit gave us good service with some sporadic hick ups. Hopefully the new Evolution Spacesaver will provide good service. It appears to run a bit quieter than the old one.

Heater works great, but the faucet leaked and had to be replaced within one week
The faucet leaked immediately after installation and required replacement with a different type. Warranty covered the replacement cost and was a simple process.

Hi Dickozz, I’m sorry that you’ve had this experience. We are always working hard to build units to last and really don't expect such issue to happen....
Love my InSinkErator Instant Hot Water Dispenser
We have had an InSinkErator Instant Hot Water Dispenser for over a decade and the new replacement is better with a greater flow of water and better control over the water temperature. The handle is more solid and secure than previous one. I love my "hot shot" and use it for many things--making a cup of tea, filling pots for quick boil, sterilizing fruits and vegetables, and cleaning pots and pans [hot pans rinsed with cold water causes bent wobbly pans and also boiling water cleans stuck on grea...

Replace a previous Insinkerator hot water dispenser
This unit earned its purchase due to the performance of a previous unit that just fell victim to age, 10 yrs. The new unit was very easy to connect, same as the previous unit with one major exception. The copper supply line on the new unit is shorter so that to mount it where the previous unit was I needed to purchase a coupler and cut and reuse a length of tubing from the unit I removed. Other than that it was a simple installation.
