Learn MoreJoint connector, or cam, nuts are commonly used to fasten pieces together in wood furniture assemblies, especially flat-pack furniture. Cam nuts are inserted into a pre-drilled hole and are designed to mate with a dowel that has been screwed into another pre-drilled hole on another piece of the assembly. A Phillips screwdriver should then be used to tighten the cam nut. This action locks the dowel in place, creating a secure fastening point.

Most of these dresser kits are inferior materials.
The best thing is that what came with the dresser was of very poor quality. So i bought these and they were a much better construction and stronger.
