Brackets do not fit the bars.

The bars are fine. The problem is that the brackets to mount the bars are not sized properly. They are very loose and would not really work as is. I had to cut some metal shims to make them fit so that they would not flop around.

Great product!

I hung this on my garage window just for extra piece of mind. Installation was simple & easy (65 y.o. female and I did it by myself). I added a sheet of hardware cloth between the window screen and bars so I can leave the window open to let my cat have fresh air (installed a shelf level with the window sill to have a place for her to lay).

Sturdy, looks good

This was a relatively easy install and it does the job. However, if you're installing it into brick, I would recommend using your own screws or a slightly bigger drill bit.
