Burner Issues

Purchased in Feb 2026. First large burner had infinite switch issues 5 months after purchase. Six weeks later the other large burner did the same thing. No issues with the small ones. Dealing with trying to get it fixed. I would not recommend this product at all.

I hope it works better this time

This is the second one of these we bought. When we moved into our home 14 years after about 2 years the main burner would go right to power boil no matter where the temperature was set. We replaced it with the same unit. The cook top started doing the same thing again about 6 months with again the main burner going right to power boil no matter where the temperature was set. I would not have bought this product again, but we could not find another stove top to fit into the opening on our counter...

Forever to boil water

Why does it take so long to boil water? I'm considering replacing this with another model as it is incredibly slow at heating.

Quality cooktop!

This cooktop truly gets the job done! The heat control is great and has safety features that keep my toddlers safe. It’s easy to use and cooks my food evenly.

poor Cooktop

I purchased this item last week installed it and used it several times since then. I have never been so disappointed in a GE Product. After just 7 or 8 times of using it it looks like it is tens years old already. IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean, even if you spend the money for additional new cookware because they recommend special cookware, so be prepared to spend additional money for the privilege's of using this cooktop. Bought this electric cooktop, the box came with no plastic tape only two bands on each side of the box. When bands were cut the box was open. It did not look a new one. It was ok when installed. We shall see.

Terrible product

We purchased this stovetop from Lowe’s in March of 2026. Our old GE stovetop was 26 years old, so we felt comfortable buying another GE stovetop. I absolutely hate the new GE stovetop. It is hard to keep clean and when I turn the burner to low, it stays on high and burns the food. I do not recommend this stovetop to anyone!

We bought this a few weeks ago and it works great. Nice improvement for our kitchen.

The worst ever!

I bought this white stove top to match my white glass appliances. It scratched immediately. I am a seasoned cook, and know how to avoid scratching a glass stove top, but this one scratched for no good reason. The scratches are dirty looking and no matter what I use to clean it, it just can't get clean. The other burners are also always getting burnt on gook. Loved My Last One, But Not the Same Quality

Purchased in 2024 but was not installed until December of 2025. We are a three person family, so the stove is not used a lot. My last drop in stove top lasted from 1998 until then. This one gets so hot that you burn everything even when it is on low. There is no way to regulate the heat because the dial does not do the trick. GE, you are not the same! I have been a life long user of GE; however, this is not acceptable.
