not direct to stud
In the spec. description it says direct to stud installation, it is not, it a glue to dry wall. the glass door frame is of poor quality and will need to be reinforced.

Ripoff
I am so disappointed we purchased the kit and waited till after holidays with family to start the bathroom, the last project. And the walls have to be cut just to fit. They are not the size as ordered. Everything in this kit is cheaply made. I have purchased shower kits before for mobile home renovations and they were much better than this one. Also Lowe's is not very helpful at all since I ordered it online. I will be disputing this charge as Lowe's suggested, and if someone from the shower com...

Thin walls
The siding is very thin and there is plenty of cutting. The back wall piece is 1 full piece but is 2. You will need glue to adhere it to your walls. I regret purchasing this model not worth the cost.

Nice quality. Not a 1st time DIY project.
Dreamline makes an excellent product. I am a professional contractor and have installed many of their products over the years. This particular kit was relatively easy to install for our customer. Removed and old fiberglass one-piece tub shower unit. Had some plumbing to relocate then set the shower base level in thinset for a good solid base. Installed backer board on the studs and sealed with aqua defense. Panel glue up was easy and quick as was installing the corner and lap trim. Shower door w...

Wrong Color
This picture shows a matte gold or brass gold color but the description says it's brushed nickel. Dreamline has nothing in a gold color and that is what I'm looking for. I was really hoping this was a matte gold.
