What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this concrete stain for dramatically restoring faded surfaces with rich, natural-looking color that makes patios and driveways appear like new or better. Most find application straightforward using sprayers, rollers, or brushes, with quick cleanup and simple instructions. Reviewers consistently recommend proper surface preparation, thorough stirring, multiple coats, and sealing to lock in vibrant color and enhance durability. A few report occasional batch color variation or thin consistency requiring extra coats, but these rare concerns are minor compared to widespread satisfaction with visual transformation and ease of use.

I bought a 1-gallon jug of Direct Colors Antiquing Stain in Terracotta to fix up my weathered, sun-bleached backyard patio, and the results are fantastic. The semi-transparent Terracotta gave it a beautiful, warm Mediterranean clay color without looking like fake, thick paint. It settled perfectly into the stamped indentations to highlight the concrete's natural texture. Just a reminder to everyone: this product must be locked in with a sealer afterward, or the pigment will wash away. It looks b...

Best (re)stain for stamped concrete walkway
I used this product to restain my stamped concrete walkway. I also applied the EasySeal sealer. It turned out so well! It looks better than it did when we put in the walkway 10 years ago. Thank you, Direct Colors for an awesome product.

Easy to use looks great
I decide to use black as I wanted a pretty dark antique looking wall. It went on easily and dried looking great. Will definitely use it on the pavers when I get to that part of my project.
Made our flagstone steps PERFECT.
We’ve suffered through having grey flagstone steps going up to our house for more than ten years— the stone on our home exterior is shades of brown as are our pavers. We hated those steps, but didn’t know how to change them. On the direct colors website, we were able to order a trial kit ($39.99, and well worth it) with three different colors of antiquing stain, which we applied to leftover pieces of our flagstone, then sealed with the sealer included in the trial kit. One of those colors, dr...

Re-Staining Stamped Concrete
Follow all directions (and be time patient) to prepping the surface. Order a little more than you think you need. Patience again - first coat was ok, but 2nd coat really brought out the color we were hoping for. We did a 2nd color for highlighting in spots and that really improved the look. Don't forget to seal it for even more enhanced look and durability.
patio redo
Quick delivery when I ordered it. Easy to apply. So far I'm happy
