Very popular wood!
Nice piece of trim wood. I wish they would not put a price sticker on the face of the wood as it is very hard to take off and leaves sticker residue. If you don't get all the sticker residue off, that area where the sticker was will not take stain well.

Warps after cutting
We purchased these boards to finish the end of our kitchen island. We carefully checked each board in-store to make sure they were straight. After cutting, they completely warped and bent which made them unusable. Unfortunately, we did not realize this until we already glued the boards on our island and now we are left with a mess.

Waste of money
The boards seemed strait enough to work with. I brought them home and into my workshop that’s temperature and humidity controlled. I build furniture for a living so I have the tools to get small uneven warps out of boards but these curled and twisted once I cut them so bad I couldn’t use 80% of the lumber.

Not solid stock.
I traveled a good distance to purchase solid 3X3 stock (As neither Lowe's or its major competitor choose to no longer carry 5/4 hardwood stock) for a project where I needed 7/8" thick stock. I was planning to cut the SOLID stock down and plane it to 7/8". Since this product is actually 4 layers not solid as represented, I could not end up with a solid piece of 7/8" thickness. The boards I purchased were straight and true with no defects. In fact most of the boards on the shelf were in excellent condition. I’m using these boards to build a cabinet, and when you start out with a good product your project has a much better chance of turning out great.

Current 3/2022 stock too green; warped & cracks
I had to stand in the store and go through half the stock trying to find 3 boards that weren’t warped. It’s all way too green. The three boards I finally selected were problematic - they don’t cut well and all too easily crack even when drilling small diameter pilot holes for small wood screws. I’ve had pine boards perform better than this. Deeply disappointed in the quality currently offered in the local store.
Nice, overpriced too short boards
NOT 8 FEET!!! These boards are enlisted as 1x12x8ft, and like other boards, the 1" and 12" are slightly smaller, but, unlike other boards, "8ft" on these actually means 7'6". It is hidden somewhere in the description that they are 90" but it is very misleading. Quality of the boards is good, holes are well milled, etc. They were the only straight 1x12s in the store, so that was a plus.
