When you accept your quote and choose Lowe’s for flooring installation, you’ll get:

• Flooring of Your Choice: Choose the style and material that fit your space. Flooring must be purchased from Lowe’s. 
• Underlayment or Carpet Padding: We’ll install it when needed for comfort and performance.
• Professional Installation: There’s no additional charge for installation at a site within 20 miles of your Lowe’s store (one way). A mileage fee applies for locations beyond 20 miles.
• Safety Checks: We’ll conduct a lead assessment, if required.
• Surface Prep: We’ll do light scraping and sweeping to create a smooth base (up to 1/4-inch adjustment).
• Thorough Cleanup: We’ll remove debris and vacuum/sweep. Dump fees may apply.
• Final Walk-Through: We’ll review the finished work with you to make sure you’re satisfied. We’ll also review product care and warranty details.

Basic flooring installation starts at just $1.99 per square foot — for vinyl, laminate, hardwood and hybrid resilient flooring only.

We know how important it is to feel confident in who you’re working with for big projects like floor installation. From the initial measurement of your space to putting your floor in place — and every step in between — you’ll be working with only the best and most qualified professional independent installers. You can trust your independent installer is screened, insured, background checked and, where applicable, licensed to get the job done right.

We can move furniture for an additional charge. A per-room charge for basic furniture will apply. The fee will be higher if the furniture is complex/oversized and complicates the project or makes a meaningful time impact. This includes, but isn’t limited to, furniture that:

• Requires specialized tools for disassembly
• Requires three or more people to lift/move it
• Has a size/shape that prevents disassembly

If additional charges apply for moving or breaking down furniture, the independent contractor will advise you at the time of measurement, and the additional charges will be included in the quote from Lowe’s.

• Pianos, aquariums, waterbeds, antiques, pool tables, holiday decorations, freestanding gas heating units, large exercise equipment, safes, etc.
• Electronics (computers, stereos, home theaters, TVs, medical equipment, alarm systems, etc.)

Your flooring must be purchased as part of an installation package for us to install it. Your flooring will be part of your total installation cost, after your free in-home measurement.

You’ll receive a quote including installation and materials based on your square footage. However, you can select and browse our samples online. The faster you provide your product choice, the faster we’ll be able to offer a quote.

All installation services are guaranteed by Lowe’s limited warranty. Installation services guaranteed by Lowe’s labor limited warranty & available thru independent contractors, licensed, & registered where applicable. Customer will receive any warranty provided by a manufacturer of the goods installed. Lowe’s warrants that the installation services will be performed by an independent installer in a good and workmanlike manner. Lowe’s limited warranty for installation services shall extend for a period of one year for most categories from the date of job completion or such greater period as may be required by applicable law.
